What's in N.S.W Intestate Papers and how do I find an Index?

A person who dies without leaving a will is said to have died intestate. Apart from monies owed and paid from the estate, these papers can contain shareholders' circulars, newspaper clippings and personal correspondence.

To obtain details from the State Records website, follow these steps:

1. Go to the NSW State Records On-Line Index Page
2. Click on "i" for "Intestate"
3. Scroll down to "Intestate Estate Case Papers"
4. Click on "Search"
